Laura attended the Salt Center for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine, where she developed her love of story-telling through photography. Her first “real job” as a photographer was at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, where she photographed everything from surgery to celebrity visits. While living in Memphis, Laura also worked with world-renowned fine art photographer William Eggleston to help create a digital archive of the artist’s life’s work. A trip to El Salvador inspired Laura to pursue a master's degree in Public Health at Boston University. During this time, Laura also partnered with non-profit organizations working to mitigate issues around maternal and child health and social justice. After completing her degree, Laura ventured South once more to Austin, Texas where she continued her story-telling work in the non-profit sector, as well as in the local food and farming scene. Since the pandemic began, Laura has specifically focused on the local food supply chain through her role as brand photographer with Farmhouse Delivery. Laura currently lives with her partner and sweet Doodle rescue, Henry, in Buda, TX.
